For a retailer, materials are more than a story — they are what customers feel, wash and come back for. This page explains what Moalie works with, and which standards sit behind it.
Merino wool

Fine merino wool is the heart of the collection: breathable, temperature-regulating and naturally moisture-managing, soft against delicate skin. It is used across hats, booties, knitwear, snuggles, sleeping bags and blankets — pieces made for daily use, in every season.
Merino & cashmere
Selected pieces are knitted from a blend of 90% merino wool and 10% cashmere — lighter and softer still, with a refined handfeel that suits premium boutiques.
Other natural fibres
Some styles combine merino with bamboo and a touch of stretch for everyday comfort and easy dressing. Where cotton is used, selected items are made with GOTS-certified cotton.
Certifications & standards

- Mulesing-free — all wool is sourced from farms that do not practise mulesing.
- OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 — the wool fibres we use are OEKO-TEX® certified. To be precise: this certification applies to the wool fibre itself; not every finished garment carries its own separate certificate. We would rather be exact about this than make claims we cannot back up.
- Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) — certificate number CU1029656MUL-2024-00032449, verifiable at TextileExchange.org.
